Alister McGrath on The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos on CBC

Alister McGrath, a famous evangelical theologian, scientist, Anglican priest, author of may books including The Dawkins Delusion?, and former principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University, was on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) last night. I would be interested in your thoughts on the interview. You can access it here.

I saw this, and I was a bit dissapointed. Perhaps I thought McGrath of whom I am a fan was going to 'lay the smack down" but apparently that is not his style at all. I am glad that George is on the ball though and had McGrath there - perhaps more people will read the "Dawkin's Delusion" now or that McGrath's own words, "I started to think for myself" would impact people.

Terra,

Yes, he was not a bold evangelist, and I think that is his style as an Anglican and an academic. However, let's pray that many would read his book and as a result, come to Christ,

I think McGrath basically wimped out. Yes, the format and forum of the Hour favours whatever agenda the host wants to push, but McGrath could have stood for Christian truth in one way, shape, or form. But he didn't. Pretty disappointing. And I like McGrath.
